My two sons and I went to a WWE live event this past Friday night at the XL Center in Hartford. Having not been to a event since the 1970's I was not sure what to expect. We waited in a ever increasing crowd of fans waiting to get inside to the venue. The event opened up with the Miz coming out and working the crowd, playing his role of being the villain with incredible stage presence, and expertise. While we all know that these matches are all choreographed, you can't help but marvel and some of these athletic moves, that the wrestlers, most of all which are at, or near 6', and way close to, or over 200 lbs. The tickets have gone up a bit, along with the concession prices, since the last time I attended one of these events, but the entertainment value is still worth the money. The wrestlers entertained for close to three hours, with the main event between the Miz & CM Punk, vs Randy Orton, and John Cena, ending in a spectacular showing of Orton and Cena each putting their "finishing" moves, on the Miz and Punk for a double pin. If you are only a casual wrestling fan, or hard core, if the WWE comes to your city or town, I would urge you to attend it a great time!
