Wrestlemania, or Wreslelamia 27?

The WWE had their biggest pay per view last night, the grand daddy of them all, Wrestlemania, with all the hype leading up to the event, and the matches that were part of it, the majority of them seemed to fall a little short this year.

Edge Vs Delrio-It was a bit different to have a title match as the opening bout, this match was very good, on both Delrio and Edge's part.

Bid Show/Kane/Santini VS the Corre--This match had a lot of potential, but was over so quickly it never seemed to have time to develop into anything.

Jerry Lawler Vs Michael Cole--This was one of the big hyped matches that seemed to really fall short of expectations, realizing that Michael Cole is a announcer and not a wrestler, a little more work could have been put into the match to make it a bit more interesting. The most entertaining part of it was Steve Austin getting involved and "stunning" Jack Swaggert or anyone else he could get his hands on.

John Morrison/Tris Stratus/Snookie Vs Dolf Ziggler and La Cool--This was another match that could have been done better, realizing that Snookie is not a wrestler, she made a good accounting of herself. This match was also over quick.

Cody Rhodes Vs Ray Mysterio--This match was okay, not outstanding, Ray is rumored to want to leave WWE and retire, if this is the case he went out with a loss.

HHH VS The Undertaker--This was the best match, Sting was rumored for months to be coming for one match to face the Undertaker, and be the one to end his record of being undefeated at Wrestlemania. Then, Sting decided he wanted to stay with TNA, and Triple H got the unenviable take of having to face the Undertaker again. I thought that the match was very well done, the Undertaker despite looking very tired, and old, made a good accounting of himself. One has to ask how much longer is he going to be able to be called upon to come back to save the WWE time, and time again. After a fast start it seemed like Taker ran out of gas a bit, which caused the pace of the match to slow. Having it end by having Triple H tapping to the Undertakers famous triangle choke submission, was a bit of a let down.

John Cena Vs. The Miz--I my opinion this was the worst of the hyped up matches, ending initially by both Cena and the Miz being counted out, then the Rock came out, restarting the match and gave Cene the "Rock Bottom", causing him to loose the match.

Shamus Vs Daniel Byran--This match never happened!!

I'm glad I was not at the Georgia dome and paid the high prices for the premium seats. This may have just been a done year for this event, but since it is showcase as the WWE'S premium pay per view event, it will be interesting to see if the next events are any better. For the money, the WWE is a great value, this may have just been an off night for every one involved.
