Let me be truthful here - I thought my girlfriend was just getting her usual obsessive-compulsive when she asked I purchase a handful of greatest GPS devices for my new Commando 961 Cafe Racer. I was not willing to get into an argument with her so I just bought and set up the blasted thing.
Good thing she nagged me on about it since the GPS tracker protected my bike.
It all began when I went to the pub with the friends. I've had my bike for more than a year now and the folks around my watering hole were ultimately used to the sheer sexiness of my ride. The oohs and aahs ultimately stopped so I let my guard down for a bit. Okay, a little too much - I truly forgot to set the lock on my bike's wheels.
One particular of my mates had to go home early so he left the pub. He came back in a minute later and told me my bike was gone. Me and the mates run out and, sure enough, my Commando was gone.
You know that feeling of blood draining out from head to toe? This is exactly what I felt when I found out my adored bike was stolen from me.
Then I got my act together and remembered about the on-board impressive GPS devices I installed on my bike. I took out my Android telephone, opened the GPS navigation app that was tied to my bike's tracker and checked out right where my bike was.
Some bugger was driving it out of town! So the mates dropped me off at the regional police station. I didn't just inform them that my bike was stolen - it was being stolen right that instant. I showed the place of my bike by means of the car GPS devices concealing in the storage compartment and they dispatched a handful of police.
Obviously they caught the bugger in the act of committing crime. He was carrying my bike in the back of a lorry. The cop wouldn't have doubted a thing if the GPS tracker wasn't giving away the place of my bike.
At least the thief didn't attempt some thing stupid like run away and destroy my adored bike. I was able to recover it secure and sound, and I got an earful of "I told you so" when I told my girlfriend what occurred.
I was torn among wanting to wipe that self-righteously expression off her face and wanting to plant a good big smooch for helping me get my bike back.
To reduce a lengthy story quick, it is undoubtedly worth buying an auto GPS tracker. Not only can it assist in getting back a lost car or bike like in my case, but it makes navigation so much easier. I never get lost in my personal home town as much as I used to.
Perfect part is that GPS devicess are not as pricey as they used to be. They cost about anywhere among 40 GBP or 60 USD for the fundamental trackers to 100 GBP or 150 USD for the much more feature-rich variants.
Believe me when I say that GPS devices are undoubtedly worth the investment - particularly when you do anything stupid like forget to lock the wheels of your car or bike!
