My little girl has grown up so quick. I understand that is completely cliché to say, but she actually has.
We started to put her on training wheels for her bike, and she simply likes it!
Really, she trips around so much that my spouse and I cannot even catch up. And that means we need to practically cover her up in bubble wrap so we (I suggest, she) feel safe.
Well, as all of us understand with kids, they despise doing exactly what benefits them. And my little girl despises wearing her helmet.
She attempted it when, once she discovered that shouting and sobbing got her exactly what she wanted, we quickly needed to offer in.
It's been a continuous battle-- we obviously desire her to ride her bike, but we likewise desire her to be safe. And we cannot follow her around forever.
So, my spouse got browsing online for methods to obtain kids to like gaining their helmets ...
We discovered a company on Amazon called Tail Wags-- "whimsical covers for your helmet.".
I'm not so much a man of "whimsy", but these were kind of charming.
We brought our little girl over to the computer and browsed through the selection. She fell for the blue fish (since she simply saw Searching for Nemo, probably) and we purchased it (complimentary shipping, too!).
Well, needless to say she will not ride her bike without her fish. And it's so simple-- we simply slide it over her regular helmet, and she goes on her way.
The very best part, though? We can constantly see her even when she gets away. That darn thing actually protrudes.
You can find the Blue Fish Helmet Covers on Amazon.com. They actually are worth the rate.
We even got some for our buddies' kids!
