Robby Cano received less than a warm welcome at last nights Yankees vs. Mariners game at Yankee stadium. Cano was greeted by a boos and chants of "you sold out", as he came up to bat in the 1st inning. Cano signed a 10 year 240 million dollar deal this past off season. The Yankees had offered Cano a 7 year deal for far less money.
Disgruntled Yankees fans should remember that in this day and age of sports you can't blame a player for leaving for more money. Cano is also 30 years old, and the Yankees showed a lot of wisdom in not wanting to give a 30 year old payer a long term deal.
