Great Reads - Deadly Election - Asia Intrigue Book - Couldn't put it down

Looking for a thrilling read that you can't set down? Take a look at Deadly Election by Arthur Crandon

I purchased it from Amazon after a suggestion from a close friend and literally could not stop reading up until I was done. It simply kept me wanting to know exactly what takes place next.

I gotta warn you however, the first couple chapters are not for kids. This book enters serious and really realistic detail right from the beginning.

Lots of authors have discussed the Philippines and other 3rd world Asian nations, however I have never ever read anything like this. The details feel exceptionally real. Almost as if the Author had actually seen these events himself.

This striking novel does not pull any punches. Crandon tells it like it easily could be. The reader is left in no doubt that life in the Philippines, for a lot of the people is precarious at best, and in some cases downright dangerous.

Disturbing the wrong individuals can easily get you jailed, if you are lucky, and eliminated if you are not. Lots of foreigners who have begun companies there have not lived to tell the tale. They have either become the victim of a regional powerful business owner or politician who wants their business, or more likely fallen prey to the "family members" of their partner's milking them of their cash.

Reading "Deadly Election" reminded me of numerous of my own experiences in the country. Though I will certainly state that the Philippines is a stunning country and for the most part a fantastic place to check out, however this book does not take place in the locations a tourist would visit. I can't wait to check out Arthur Crandon's next novel.

You should certainly pick up a copy or download an e-book. Both are readily available on Amazon.com. For those of you who do not use Amazon, it is easy to use and has actually become my go to for anything I want to purchase now days. I was a late adopter of it, however it is a wonderful and trustworthy site with a fantastic money back guarantee.

Here is a brief overview from the author himself of exactly what you can expect when you first explore the depths that "Deadly" takes you to. I know it will certainly leave you with a lasting impression.
