Does the end of Barnes & Nobles mean the end of book stores??

With the Barnes and Nobles era comming to a end, I have been reading a variety of articles, of varying opions. Some feel that the end of actual books is at hand. Others seem to feel that this a natural progression of technology, and books are going to be the latest in a long list of items that have been affected by techology. There can be no doubt that the way that society gets it entertainment information has changed. Books, newspaperes, and other printed media can all now be found on line. Our "pace" of life has changed so much in the last 10-15 years. We can access information on our cell phones, reducing the need to slow down, sit down, and read a book. I think that book stores will adapt, I also feel that part of the Barnes and Nobles demise may have been market saturation. Near a major mall near our town there was a Barnes and Noble accross from a Waldon Books, and there was also a book store in the mall. With three stores so close it made it very hard to compete for a shrinking consumer market in both interest and available dollars.
